I am happy to find your article about Masaka Farms. I'm in Kigali for a few weeks' work, and yesterday I very happy to discover their crème fraîche, which is stocked at the Nakumatt here and is the only cream available. I bought three containers. It's very thick and it has a sharp edge almost like sour cream or yogurt, but it still makes a terrific addition to my coffee. I haven't tried their mozzarella yet but it sounds great AND it's available here so that's up next :-) Thanks for writing about the story behind the product!

I have been on a muffin kick lately, and basically any sweet bread can become a muffin, so I'm going to make these soon.

Coincidentally, we are having sweet potatoes for dinner and I put a few extra ones in the oven to bake, so I have everything we need for the recipe! Even shredded coconut, oddly enough.

good choice on forgoing the chocolate mint. luke and i grew it a few years ago and it just wasn't chocolatey enough to be special and not minty enough to be mint.

lemon basil on the other hand... is a great kombucha flavorer, as i remember from some of our wackier batches.

also, it's not even warm enough to PLANT our herbs yet here - although it is >70 degrees today!
